This technical figure was developed for Canopy Biosciences for their TUNR flexible gene editing technology which worked alongside CRISPR-Cas9 system. This brightly coloured figure was designed to demonstrate how TUNR can precisely tune and control the gene expression process, eliminating artifacts. We wanted to go with a musical theme to illustrate the concept, and cycled through a few ideas involving instruments and orchestras. Eventually we chose a mixing deck, as this felt both modern and gave the impression of precise control.
