This technical figure was developed for Canopy Biosciences for their RareSeq™ technology – a sequencing system that vastly increased the sensitivity of genetic testing over traditional methods.
Finding rare mutations
The figure demonstrates the entire process from the extraction of genomic DNA (gDNA) through to the final error corrections in the resulting products. DNA mutations as rare as 1 in 10,000 can be examined. These are becoming increasingly biologically and clinically relevant. Researchers working on blood cancer use the RareSeq technology to study disease development, progression, and recurrence.
