8 month old (34 weeks) female foetus preserved in formaldehyde
At 8 months along a foetus will on average weigh around 2.2 kg and be around 45cm top to toe. At this point most organ systems will have been formed and the baby will be filling out with a layer of fat to help them regulate their temperature. In addition, their finger and toe nails will be fully formed.
