Lemurs are found in Madagascar. They include some of the smallest primates in the world, and until recently also some of the largest. On the island of madagascar there are 33 species alone which are divided into 5 families.

The gestation period ranges from 9 weeks for the smallest lemurs to 24 weeks in the larger ones. This specimen was drawn at the Royal college of Surgeons, London.
